Seller:raberbay(773)100%, Location:Port Clinton, Ohio, Ships to: US, Item:173911317113Up for auction is an M1 Garand stock made for a Springfield Armory rifle during WWII. The stock comes with a decent butt plate, rear sling swivel and front stock ferrule. The stock has very few scratches, dings and scrapes expected in a 70 year old piece of history. The stock has a strong SA/GAW cartouche with ordinance wheel. It also has a nice crossed cannon on the heel and strong circle P. The stock appears to be unsanded. This is one of the nicest GAW stocks I have put up for sale. I believe it would be fine on a collector grade rifle. I see no cracks or repairs. This stock is authentic USGI GAW and not a reproduction or fake. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS ONE!! Look closely at the pictures and you be the judge on condition. Fixed rate shipping price for continental US only. No international shipping. A 0.99 cent starting price. Contact me with questions.Condition:Used, Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Seller:acc101902(44)100%, Location:Mattawan, Michigan, Ships to: US, CA, BS, UY, Item:123640085665M1 GARAND SPRINGFIELD ARMORY STOCK SA/GAW WWII. This is a solid GAW marked WWII Garand stock. I guarantee the stock to be authentic. This one came from Crane Naval Base in a surplus sale. Here is the interesting information on this stock. The GAW stamp was used from approximately August 1943- March 1945 on new rifles and on the few rifles that were rebuilt during this time frame (New production serial numbers approximately 1,978,000 thru 3,627,000). The tapered clip latch (pictured in photo 9) was discontinued in late 1942 / early 1943 (around serial number 1,000,000). This stock was originally most likely stamped with the SA/EMcF or SA/GHS Inspection stamp. GHS stamp was used from approximately October 1940 thru June 1942 (serial numbers 78,000 thru 691,000). EMcF stamp was used from approximately June 1942 thru the fall of 1943 (serial numbers 665,000 thru 2,000,000)). Further evidence of this stock being used during World War II to the point of needing a rebuild before the war was over in the spring of 1945 includes the two springfield proof marks (P in a circle with serifs) (one from the original inspection and a second from the rebuild during the GAW period), Along with the 3rd non-serif P in a circle, typical of the RIA rebuild. Also, there appears to be remnants of a second crossed cannon stamp between the GAW stamp and the more prevalent crossed cannon stamp. The Rock Island Arsenal EB stamp was used from 1947 thru 1958. This stock will work with any M1 Garand, but would be a great match with an early war M1 Garand with later parts from the GAW rebuild and RIA EB rebuild. There are pins in the stock near the cartouche and in front of the trigger well, but I do not see any evidence of cracks. Check the photos and you decide what itâs worth. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class Package. Ask any questions you have. I will ship in the lower 48 states. I will allow a return after a 3 day inspection if you are not satisfied, buyer pays shipping both ways. This is an authentic USGI stock that has evidence of being rebuilt prior to the end of WWII. These are not common. This stock was once on rifle number 2619353 as seen on the stamp on the bottom of the butt stock.Condition:Used, Country/Region of Manufacture:United States
